Medicare Advantage
A Medicare Advantage Plan, also known as Part C or MA Plan, is a health plan that provides Medicare coverage for Part A, Part B, and usually Part D.
It's offered by private companies that are approved by Medicare. These plans may include additional benefits such as dental, vision, hearing, and over the counter credit.
Medicare Supplement
A Medicare Supplement plan, also known as Medigap, is a health insurance policy that helps cover some of the costs that Original Medicare doesn't.
These plans are categorized by letters and insurance companies that sell supplement plans will have the same benefits.
Prescription Drug Plans
Prescription drug plans, also known as Part D, are separate insurance plans that cover the cost of prescription drugs. Some Part D plans are included with Medicare Advantage plans. If you have original Medicare or a supplement plan, you will need to have a separate Part D plan
